WIST, May 30 -- The international students of the School of Business and Trade (SBT) paid a visit to Hanxi Branch of Walmart in Wuhan for field study, being guided by office director Yuan Di, and instructors Zhou Yang and Liu Xiaofei.
The students first came to the e-commerce area of Walmart and listened to the staff's interpretation of the e-commerce business operation process and requirements. Subsequently, they visited the store to observe product zoning and placement. These intuitive experiences gave the students a deeper understanding of the practical application of logistics management.
During the exchange session, Wang Jing, the manager of Walmart, introduced in detail Walmart's management philosophy and operation strategy. The international students then discussed with the staff the differences between Walmart and Thai local supermarkets in operation mode and management requirements. They also shared their gains in this field study. (Photo by Yuan Di)
