WIST, November 16 -- The School of Business and Trade (SBT) organized the teaching assistants and the international students this week to collaborate on designing their special classrooms and dormitories, and carried out a series of decorations and arrangements with a strong cultural atmosphere.
On the walls of the international students’ classrooms, there are hanging Chinese, English, and Thai slogans such as “Learning without thought means labour lost; thought without learning is perilous” and “You can be a teacher by learning new things from the past.” This creates a strong traditional cultural atmosphere and helps them better adapt to the new learning environment. Brush calligraphy works provided by the Painting and Calligraphy Association are hung on both sides of the teaching whiteboard, reminding international students to develop good learning habits. Well-arranged classrooms provide a comfortable and cultural learning environment for international students.
Teaching assistants and international students decorated the dormitory with green plants, balloons, and other small ornaments. SBT also prepared storage boxes for international students to organize their daily belongings and display photos, creating a cozier living environment.
The visit of international students adds a touch of multiculturalism to the campus, and the well-decorated classrooms and dormitories with a rich cultural atmosphere provide a superior learning and living environment for international students, according to the teachers of SBT. The international students said that the activity of arranging classrooms and dormitories makes them deeply appreciate the care of teachers and fellow Chinese students, as well as the extensive and profound Chinese culture. They added they hope to gain a better understanding of China during their study abroad period and become ambassadors of cultural exchange.
