WIST, November 10 -- The School of Business and Trade organized a trip to the Yellow Crane Tower for international students from Thailand. Headteacher Zhang Mengshu and teachers Cheng Jie and Li Zhiyong guided the international students during their visit to the Yellow Crane Tower.
Standing on the Yellow Crane Tower and leaning against the railing, the visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of the mighty Yangtze River and the beautiful scenery of Wuhan’s three towns. Teachers and teaching assistants provided international students with detailed introductions about the history, cultural works, and famous figures related to the Yellow Crane Tower. In this “Supreme Tower of the World,” international students immersed themselves in the magnificent scenery described in ancient Chinese poetry. Admiring the vast and turbulent Yangtze River and surveying the Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge, they couldn’t help but recall the scene of ancient people climbing the Yellow Crane Tower. “Being in the Yellow Crane Tower allows us to truly appreciate the charm of traditional Chinese culture,” said the international students.
Traditional culture endows the Yellow Crane Tower with magnificent vitality, highlighting its unique charm as a city. As a national 5A tourist attraction and one of the “Three Famous Towers in Jiangnan,” the Yellow Crane Tower, Qingchuan Pavilion, and Ancient Lute Platform are collectively regarded as the “Three Major Scenic Spots in Wuhan.” Its status and influence are evident. As a landmark of Wuhan, the Yellow Crane Tower is not only a must-visit for domestic and international tourists, but also an important “window” to showcase the city’s image.
