WIST, May 24 -- A China-Thailand academic and cultural exchange virtual meeting for Modern Logistics Management was jointly held by the School International Cultural Exchange (SICE) and School of Business and Trade (SBT) together with the Logistics Department of Suratthani Technical College (STC).
In the meeting, the teachers of WIST gave a detailed introduction to the progress of the Thai students of Modern Logistics Management from the aspect of study and life at WIST. The students demonstrated their academic performance and achievements these days. For instance, all the students have passed the national logistics management “1+X” vocational skill level assessment and are qualified for the intermediate level; in the 2nd "Chinese+Logistics Vocational Skills" International Contest, they have won 2 first prizes, 5 second prizes, and 1 third prize.
Highly praising the progress made by the students and encouraging them to continue studying hard, the Thai teachers hope that after their return to Thailand the students will apply the knowledge and skills learned in China to the operation of Thai logistics enterprises.
Both parties also discussed and arranged the return of the students to STC. In the future, WIST will continue to pay attention to the growth of Thai students, and provide them with more support and assistance.
The meeting is chaired by Wang Yue, the director of Logistics of WIST. Besides the 9 Thai students studying Logistics in WIST, the participants include the faculty representatives of STC, vice dean of SBT Li Hui, key teachers of WIST such as Yu Chunyan, Tian Fangyuan, Fan Wei, and Yuan Di.
