WIST, December 2 -- The national finals of the E-commerce Operation Data Analysis Competition of the 2023 Belt and Road & BRICS Skills Development & Technology Innovation Competition were held at Zhongshan Torch Polytechnic. This competition was divided into three groups: secondary vocational school group, higher vocational school group, and undergraduate course group. Teams selected from 333 teams from 177 colleges in Wuhan, Chongqing, Jinan, and etc. qualified for the final.
Wu Yuru, Liu Sijia, and Wang Jiajie, students majoring in Business Data Analysis and Application under the guidance of Shi Xiuhong and Li Yuzhu from the School of Business and Trade (SBT), formed a team. After three hours of fierce competition, the players remained calm and composed, unafraid of challenges, and worked together in unity and cooperation, the instructors said. Ultimately, they achieved first place in the team’s total score and won the first prize, granting them priority to participate in relevant events in the BRICS regions. WIST received the “Best Organization Award”.
The competition for e-commerce operation data analysis focuses on the key digital skills and core literacy of digital talents, emphasizing the comprehensive operational ability of e-commerce data analysis. It covers theoretical understanding and practical skills, encompassing e-commerce operation data collection, data processing, data analysis, data visualization, data report writing, and other aspects. This competition aims to enhance students’ digital skills and digital literacy comprehensively.
