WIST, November 24 -- A China-Thailand logistics management teaching seminar was conducted on Friday. The meeting was chaired by Nie Jide, deputy dean of the School of International Cultural Exchange. Teachers Yuan Di and Liu Xiaofei from the School of Business and Trade (SBT), and teachers of Suratthani Technical College (STC) in Thailand, together with all Thai students majoring Modern Logistics Management at WIST, attended the meeting.
Nie introduced the academic progress of the international students since their enrollment. She said that these international students have gradually integrated into the WIST family. They have not only made progress in their studies but have also demonstrated great enthusiasm for cultural exchanges and community activities and their arrival has injected new vitality into WIST and promoted friendly exchanges between China and Thailand, according to the teachers of WIST.
Later, during the interaction between Thai students and Thai teachers, the students shared with the teachers their learning and living experiences in China, including professional courses and Chinese language learning, campus activities, and interesting daily life stories. The Thai teachers responded enthusiastically and gave suggestions, encouraging the international students to take full advantage of the learning opportunities at WIST and strive to improve their overall quality.
Yuan and Liu told of the academic progress of each international student studying at WIST. According to the teachers of SBT, as a secondary school primarily responsible for the academic affairs of the Thai students, SBT is dedicated to nurturing outstanding talents with a global perspective and cross-cultural communication skills, and collaboration and discussions with STC serve as crucial means of achieving this goal.
