WIST, November 13 -- At the invitation of the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) president Wei Shaofeng attended the 2023 China-U.S. TVET Leaders Dialogue, and delivered a speech on the theme of “Digitalization Empowering the International Development of Vocational Education”.
Wei introduced to the representatives of Chinese and American colleges the achievements of WIST’s digital intelligent campus construction in promoting the international development of WIST. This includes improving the internationalization level of WIST through digitization, facilitating the implementation of international exchange and cooperation projects, and expanding the network of international friends.
Sponsored by CEAIE and organized by the Nanjing Vocational University of Industry Technology, this event aims to further promote cultural exchanges and educational cooperation between China and the United States, as well as to enhance the high-quality development of foreign cooperation and exchanges in higher vocational education. The main venue of the event was set in Nanjing. Leaders from six colleges and universities in China and five in the United States delivered exchange speeches. More than 200 experts and scholars from China and the United States attended the event, and nearly 2,000 guests from home and abroad watched the live conference online.
In 2018, WIST established a cooperative relationship with Pima Community College in the United States through the PathPro Project to establish a platform for language and cultural exchanges between China and the United States. Up until now, both colleges have conducted numerous offline and online exchange visits between teachers and students, facilitating cultural exchanges between China and the United States.
