WIST, November 8 -- The 4th “Belt & Road” Talent Cultivation Forum of World Young Scientist Summit 2023, sponsored by the Zhejiang Association for Science and Technology, Wenzhou Municipal People’s Government, and the Chinese & Foreign Humanities Exchange Center of the Ministry of Education, was held in Wenzhou. Four representatives, including WIST president Wei Shaofeng and vice secretary of the Party Committee Chen Changjiang, attended the event.
With the theme “Promoting High-quality Cooperation and Development in Vocational Education under the BRI for a New Era - Commemorating the 10th Anniversary of Jointly Building the BRI,” this forum attracted more than 70 overseas guests, including relevant leaders from education and science, training and employment, skills development, and other government departments of Thailand, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Cambodia, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, Angola, and other countries, as well as heads of relevant faculties. Nearly 500 guests and representatives from relevant government departments, colleges and universities, and industrial enterprises attended the event and launched an online live streaming. The afternoon “Expert Report” meeting was presided over by Wei Shaofeng.
The Chinese and Foreign Cultural Exchange Center of the Ministry of Education awarded WIST with a certificate: the project college for the “Chinese and Foreign People-to-People Exchange Talent Training Base in Intelligent Manufacturing”. Chen Changjiang, on behalf of WIST, was awarded the certificate and subsequently conducted negotiations and signed memorandums of international cooperation at the conference venue.
