WIST, September 15 -- The China-Indonesia TVET Industry-Education Alliance was officially established during the 2023 China-ASEAN Vocational Education Exhibition and Forum. Amman Sofi, the Director of the Department of Vocational and Higher Education at the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Cultural Affairs of Indonesia, Yu Yunfeng, the Secretary-General of the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE), and An Yan, the Deputy Secretary-General, attended the inauguration ceremony. WIST participated in the forum and was appointed as the Vice President Unit of the Alliance.
It is reported that the Alliance aims to establish a platform to promote practical cooperation in vocational education between China and Indonesia, as well as to cultivate high-level and international technical talent for enterprises. The Alliance will carry out overseas cooperation with Indonesian colleges and universities to strengthen the exchange of teachers and students, promote the co-construction and sharing of standards, curriculum, and resources between the two countries, mutual recognition of credits and educational qualifications, and foster people-to-people bonds.
