WIST, July 2 -- WIST held a matchmaking meeting for international students in China in 2023 with Suratthani Technical College (STC) of Thailand. The meeting was attended by WIST president Wei Shaofeng, Chen Changjiang, secretary of the Party Committee, together with the leaders of the School of Business Trade, the Department of Academic Affairs, and the School of International Cultural Exchange (SICE). Mo Xiaojin, dean of SICE, presided over the meeting. Siravit Thanasetthawong, president of STC, as well as its leaders of teachers attended the meeting.
In the meeting, Wei reviewed the history of cooperation with STC, stating that successful exchanges and interactions have laid a strong foundation for the establishment of sustainable collaborative relationships between the two colleges. He also expressed a warm welcome to the incoming international students enrolled in 2023.
Thanasetthawong introduced the current development of the Logistics Management Department at STC, fully appreciated WIST's efforts in training Thai students and faculty, and expressed hope for deepening cooperation between the two colleges. He also expressed a desire to learn from the experience in cultivating technical talents in the logistics supply chain field, in order to improve the quality of logistics management professional training at STC.
At the meeting, both sides conducted detailed negotiation on matters regarding the enrollment of international students from STC in 2023. They reached a broad consensus and signed a letter of intent for cooperation.
